Showcase Ready?

The Research Showcase is this Wednesday. This week I focused on preparing for the showcase by fixing up my board and improving my digital portfolio. My board needed to have less information and I realized how I could fill up the extra space. I started by retyping out my information and condensing it as much as I could. The way I decided to condense the research section of my board was to create an in for graphic with basic information about psychology. I also doubled-spaced the information to make it easier to read. I also made new design decisions such as coloring the backs of the paragraphs in a tan color to include another color in my color theme. It brought more colors to my board. I also needed to recut the information and put different papers back on them. Many rearranging and adjustments were made to fix my errors. I also decided to print out bigger QR codes and add more pictures to the board. I found new ways to decorate my board with glitter dots. Another thing I needed to work on was my digital portfolio since there would be a QR code linking it on my board. I had to first update the blog section of the portfolio. I added the mentor biography and picture to the mentor section. I linked the original work to the site as well. All of these additions were something I needed to do regardless of the showcase. For the showcase, I am looking forward to the experience.
