Research Presentation Preparation

I focused on creating my research presentation which I will present this week. My research presentation will go through primary and secondary resources which are my research assessments and interviews I conducted. At first, I needed to create an engaging introduction that will also tie back at the end of my presentation and something I can use in future speeches I have in this class. I decided to go with a shocking statistic that also relates to my personal life and goes into my reason for choosing psychology as my topic for ISM. Then, I needed to work with sorting out my research assessment information and interview research to see what order I need to go in for my presentation so that it flows nicely and it is easy to follow. With the main body of information done, all that was left was my original work plan and conclusion with a quote while circling back to the introduction I had. I started with creating an in-depth script to base my presentation off of. Then, I formed my slides with minimal information and engaging pictures. I wanted to make a visually pleasing presentation that the audience will be interested in. After going through all the different preparations, I practiced in front of my family to have a rehearsal for my actual presentation. I hope through my presentation I will be able to improve my public speaking skills and learn from my previous mistakes I made in my first speech in this class.
