This week, I was introduced to the next big assignment which is my research speech and presentation.This is a 10 minute speech and the second speech I will be formulating out of the four speeches I have in total to do in this class. This speech will include a grabbing introduction while ending with a conclusion that wraps back to the beginning hook part. This speech focuses on presenting information from all the assessments I have completed and I have completed 10 of them. Each assessment focuses on something different as well as being a different type of assessment which will determine what type of resource it is: primary or secondary. I will also need to make sure that all the information and assessment order flows together while not being too blunt and unengaging. This speech is a good chance to sort through all assessments I have and improve my grabbing hook that I will use for all my speeches this year in this class. It will also be an amazing opportunity to practice my public speaking skills and gain more experience with presenting research like this on my own. I am excited to see the other presentations and learn what my peers are doing for their original work as well as what they have accomplished so far this semester. I will make sure to utilize my weekend to get a solid start on my research speech and make sure not to fall behind on my regular assignments like my next assessment and my original work documentation.
