My display board was my entire focus on the week because it was due this Monday. For the display board, I needed to first organize all the information I wanted to put on the board. I started by typing out all the sections I have for the display board such as mission statement, quote, area of research, original idea, original process, original work end, and final product. While I had a mentor, I needed her to confirm the mentor bio and I still have to talk to her about the details of the mentorship. After writing and editing all the information I needed, I picked a large font and printed out everything. Then, I started to cut the papers and paste them on to other color papers to make color borders. I wanted to do two borders for all the information and QR codes. I did a thin layer of navy blue and then a larger pink or light mint color. After finishing the cutting, I had to find a way to format the information on the board to make sure I left some stuff for the later addition of mentor biography and other final product. Gluing, pasting, filling up empty space with pictures was a difficult task and took a lot of time. I also decided to add a personal touch to the board and draw a brain while including lines to look like brain flow. My display board was a learning curve for me and I figured out different ways to design.
