My entire focus currently is on finding a mentor and scheduling interviews to go on. I have a goal of finding a mentor by the end of January or near the beginning of February. In order to fulfill that goal, I have made a list of people to contact. I created this list by researching people on the Psychology Today website and looking into their positions and specialities to see if it fits with what I am researching and focusing on. After making this list, I started to call people, but unfortunately I have been reaching voicemail every time and I have not gotten any responses yet. However, I am hopeful that I will be able to schedule an interview soon since there is more than just one way to contact and find people. My next course of action is to ask my teacher if she has any connections that I could contact. I am also going to start sending emails to professionals to see if I can get responses. With the interviews, I also need to start creating general questions that will help with my research for this semester and questions that will help me see if they could be the mentor I am looking for. These sets of questions will be different from the ones from before because these questions will evaluate if their experience and knowledge will be of assistance for me. I am excited to be going to interviews again and meeting up with professionals.
